SHL will be exhibiting at the 2011 Parental Drug Association (PDA) Europe Conference in Basel, Switzerland November 8-9th at booth #44 & 49. SHL Medical Europe's Vice President, Mats Persson and SHL Group’s Marketing Director, Steven Kaufman have been invited to present at this annual event as keynote speakers on the topic of “Insight into Development and Manufacturing of Auto Injectors.”
There will be more than 500 attendees and 80 exhibitors at this year’s “The Universe of Pre-filled Syringes and Injection Devices” event. The overall focus of this year’s conference will be on Device Usability and Compliance with speaking sessions divided into more specific areas such as daily user experiences, regulatory matters, device design factors, manufacturing and more. In addition to sharing SHL’s experience with the audience about how to develop and manufacture auto injectors on the opening day, SHL’s staff at the exhibition booth will give visitors the opportunity to have hands-on demonstrations of the company’s latest drug delivery devices.
Commenting on this event, Marketing Director Steven Kaufman says, “The auto injector market is growing rapidly and along with increasing opportunities comes challenges that many have not anticipated. It is therefore vital that conferences like this take place as it brings together experts from different backgrounds and stimulates knowledge exchanges to better support growing industry demands. We will also be arranging private meetings at the request of biopharmaceutical customers and potential customers to give them time to speak with the staff we will be sending to this event.”
